About the School / About Coach Shin
Shin Swim School, located at 2318 South Garfield Avenue in Monterey Park, is one of the only private, indoor year-round swim schools in San Gabriel Valley.
The enclosed and heated pool has a maximum depth of five feet - making it an ideal teaching facility for beginning toddlers, children, and adults alike.
Head Coach Shinu Ishizawa was trained under his father, former Swim Coach Roy Chen, who taught at the same location for several years. Coach Ishizawa takes great pride in his ability to bring out the very best in his students. His hour-long group sessions allow students to experience thorough instruction in proper swim technique, along with building confidence in their abilities, and growth of their personal character.
Coach Shin’s proven success with children and adults has spread by word of mouth throughout the San Gabriel Valley - and beyond.
